So far it has been a great trip! Despite our plane having minor technical trouble at DFW and switching planes that made us several hours late everything has been going well! We started Sunday morning in worship with Iglesia Baptista Siloé. They currently meet in the restaraunt of a family in the church. We worshipped in Spanish and English and Ben preached a message to the congregation. Afterwards, part of the team ate while Ben, Scott and Damien went to Maranatha Church where Damien preached. At both places, the people are so hospitable and so glad that we are here! Sunday afternoon, Ben got locked out of his room and began to talking with the clerk at the front desk about eternity and salvation… pray for Julio that he will accept the free gift of Jesus this week!

That evening we had the VBS kickoff at Siloé and our team made balloon animals and began to engage with the kids and families. We helped lead the kids in VBS songs that matched the ones we had sung at North Pointe!

We had about 20 kids that evening that turned into 45 for For the following day! On Monday We helped with crafts, recreation and music again- everyone of the team playing a great role in accomplishing the days events! Monday evening we again got to worship in Spanish and English with a Group of Youth from all over Michoácan. Damien played one guitar while one of them played another- it was pretty awesome! They are here to help with different work projects and to evangelize.

Keep us in your prayers as several have had some light illnesses on our team- Satan doesn’t have a chance!
