Ben grew up in Durant, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school and from Southeastern Oklahoma University with a degree in Science Education. Ben has spent many years in ministry from Arlington to Albuquerque and Oklahoma City to Broken Bow. Ben and his wife, Elizabeth have a son Lincoln and a daughter Amelia that bring great joy to their lives! As a family they love family movie nights and to go to Six Flags! Ben’s favorite verse is Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to HIM who has the power to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power at work in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever amen.”

Robert Schulze

Associate Pastor of Children and Finance

Robert has served on the Ministry Staff since July of 2013, first as Children’s Pastor, and more recently as the Minister of Education. He has worked with preschoolers and children in many different settings for the past twenty years, 10 as a children’s minister. He has completed degrees at SWBTS (M.Div.; Ph.D) in theology and God has led him to focusing his skills and gifts in equipping others to be used by God. Robert has a passion teaching, working with children and equipping other toward faith in Christ and a continued relationship with God. Robert has been married to his wife and best friend, Catherine, for over twenty years, and God has given them a daughter, Dani, and a son, Kyle. Cathy is a skilled music educator and public school teacher of over twenty years. Their family time consists of lots of reading, movies, trips to the zoo, and all around goofiness. They strive to make their family everything Christ desires and seek to witness to others through their family. Robert’s guiding verse is: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Karen Sero

Women’s Ministries / Communication Coordinator

Karen has been a team member at North Pointe since 2005. She oversees all communications in the church as well as the Women’s and Senior Adult Ministries. Before being on staff she was a teacher and principal for 30 years in various districts in the metroplex. She also currently teaches at Dallas Baptist University. She enjoys playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her friends. She is also a pro at cooking and baking and and she can make an incredible pecan pie!

Damien Marts

Pastor of Youth/Worship

Damien was born in Clovis, New Mexico and has lived all over the United States. As an army bratt, he attended four different high schools. As a member of the armed forces, he served the Army Guard as a Chaplain Assistant. As a husband, he is married to Desiree, a native of Germany. As a father, he is raising four amazing children. As a youth pastor, he has served for over a decade, mostly as a youth leader for military communities in Leavenworth, Kansas, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. As a worship leader, he graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Worship Studies, and led a congregation of worshipping believers at the Hickam Chapels in Hawaii. He is currently pursuing his seminary degree from Liberty University through their online program.
